Twisted rope meets rigid structure in the Athena Rope Collar — a high-neck statement piece rooted in the adornment traditions of ancient Greece. Cast in brass and finished with a high-polish gold plate, it sits close to the throat with an architectural confidence that feels simultaneously excavated and entirely current.
Like all Mercurial Studio pieces, the Athena Collar is made using the lost wax casting process, a technique unchanged since antiquity. The result is a surface rich with detail — the rope’s twist catching light the way hand-wrought metal does, never quite the same twice.
Wear it alone against bare skin or layered over a high collar. Either way, it commands the room.
